Canadian Centre for Economic Analysis

Demographic and Economic Data

At the core of all of CANCEA’s work is its Prosperity at Risk simulation platform, which is an agent-based computer platform. Using recent technology advancements in machine learning and big data, the system simulates over 55,000 regions across Canada as virtual societies. This requires large “linked-path” data sets that ties hundreds of disparate (and typically cross-sectional) data sources back to the individual objects that generated them (e.g., households, corporations, governments), and secures the connection of these data over time. This allows for more detailed and micro-level scenario analysis, providing a deeper and more realistic understanding of our socio-economic system.

What we can do for you:
We can provide custom cuts of the latest Canadian socio-economic data, triangulated and linked through sophisticated algorithms in Prosperity at Risk.
